Katie + Nick - Los Angeles, California

Katie + Nick were on to something. This event was in the fall of 2015 and Katie came to be with her plan: no dinner tables, a ton of lounge rentals, and a dance party. She wanted everyone to feel relaxed and not tied to a table for hours at their event. I was a little worried due to the guests maybe not understanding this alternative approach to a wedding but I went with it and made sure Katie was sure with her vision.

The verdict: SUCCESS. This event was memorable, relaxed, casual, and F U N. Since this event, I have to say that in order to truly pull this type of event off, you must know your audience. Make sure that the guests you are inviting are aware of how this is going to play out…and be guests, I mean…make sure your parents are cool with this!
