Jenny + Ryan - San Diego, California

This wedding was so peaceful and the quintessential backyard wedding. Jenny’s family friend gifted her their gorgeous San Diego property/house to have the event at. The location was perfect! When dealing with a venue that isn’t a venue normally, there are some factors that we have to determine logistical sense before we commit to selecting the venue. Often times if you are building a venue from the ground up, you have to factor in the cost of the rentals, tables, chairs, bathroom, parking, etc. If the ultimate goal is to save cost, make sure that the factors above are priced out before you get in over your head with a “free venue”. In this case, Jenny + Ryan kept it simple with catering so we were able to omit the big kitchen build out, they lucked out was an on-site restroom apart from the house, and they hired valet. They are a great example of how to do a backyard wedding correctly! I loved how these photos turned out and as I’m typing this, I’m having such sweet memories of this day. Enjoy! - CRW
