Linda + Lance - Solvang, California

I don’t know how to start this blog so I’ll just start with this: Linda and Lance are SO creative. Linda: a seamstress, screenwriter, prop stylist…Lance, a competitive free diver (Yes: you read that correctly), spear fisherman, model, actor, chef. When they hired our team to make their wedding come to life, they invited me over for dinner for Sashimi. I, being from Washington, the land of the best seafood, was…honestly not expecting to get any good seafood in Los Angeles but I complied. OH MY GOD was I proven wrong. Lance prepared some of best fresh yellowtail that he DOVE and SPEARED himself! I was completely blown away. That meal was 3 years ago and after traveling and eating at incredible restaurants around the world is still one of the best meals I’ve had.

Enough about the food…here is the wedding.

Every inch of the event was curated. I loved the use of the dark and light set on the landscape of an active equestrian property, Whispering Rose. It was the closest thing I’ve seen that felt like a real-life fairytale with the Dutch Masters Painters inspired details Linda wanted. This was such a gorgeous opportunity to rise up to a challenge having never been to art school Did I know what ‘Dutch Masters Painters” were? Not a chance. Thank goodness for Pinterest, Google, and Sammy from Lambert Florals who made the the florals in real life and for MK Sadler’s talent to pull off the vision in pictures. Damn. I felt honored to be amidst such artists for this event and soaked up every moment learning from them. A few key details that I have to include here. The seating chart that was leather luggage tags letter pressed (by a handmade letterpress Linda + Lance BUILT), the wedding dress that Linda designed (!!), and the hand dyed napkins that our team made. I’ll be over here drooling for the rest of my life over this event. It’s timeless and memorable; one I won’t forget. - CRW
