Melanie + Dylan - Santa Barbara, California

Melanie + Dylan sent me flowers when they booked us. I will never forget the impact that had on me. It was the kindest gesture and that kindness followed all the way through this planning process. Mel + Dyl (What I ended up calling them) had booked the Santa Barbara Courthouse and the Casa De La Guerra and didn’t know what else to do. That’s where we come in. The name’s Weddings…Carly Rae Weddings. Ew…that was a sell-out joke but I’m keeping it in.

They wanted us to turn their no-frills casita…read: dirt lot… into a dreamy Santa Barbara experience for guests. That’s just what we did. We brought in lounges, lighting, beautiful linens, flowers and even a Burro (donkey). Mel and Dyl’s kindness and grace for each other has followed me ever since working with them. They taught me that relationships take work and therapy is your best friend even before you’re married. Put in the effort to understand the other person’s heart…it will take you far.
